NYHMP Editorial Team
We are an independent editorial team focused on practical halal meal prep, evidence-aware nutrition, and useful New York resources.
Our experience
Our editors are New York residents with long careers in meal-prep operations, including team members with approximately two decades of experience managing practical food preparation and service. That background shapes how we approach workflow, ingredient sourcing, portions, storage, scheduling, cost, and the realities of getting meals through a busy week. We write for readers who need clear next steps—not perfection or exaggerated promises.
Why we use a team byline
Our editors currently choose not to publish their personal names. “NYHMP Editorial Team” identifies the group responsible for researching, writing, checking, and updating the article; it is not a medical, dietetic, religious, or halal-certification credential. When a page has been reviewed by an outside specialist, we identify that person and their role separately rather than implying expert review through the team name.
How we work
Each guide begins with a specific reader question. We review primary sources where appropriate, distinguish verified facts from editorial judgment, and revisit time-sensitive information when it changes.
Health and halal standards
Health and nutrition articles remain educational and never replace personal medical care. We name the primary evidence behind material claims and state when an article has not received medical review. Halal certifications, ingredients, and business practices can change, so we identify limitations and encourage readers to verify claims according to the standards they follow.
